Not everyone can do hospitality.  Stone Hospitality & Real Estate is a consultancy that offers a broad scope of services to cities, developers, investors, and institutions internationally. ​ 

Dr. Jeremy Stone is an independent development consultant in the commercial real estate and hospitality industry.  His broad range of experience began with 12 years in golf course management, operations, golf related design and development consulting including construction and project management.  Subsequently, he spent 3 years teaching business and real estate focused courses at both the undergraduate and graduate university level. He has teaching experience in the subject areas of Real Estate Research, Property Management, Real Estate Development, Sustainable Development, Asset Management, Real Estate Market Analysis, Urban Design and Marketing.  Dr. Stone taught for two years at the prestigious University of Auckland Business School in Auckland, New Zealand prior to joining the Dallas office PKF Consulting in 2007.   He has spent much of the past 15 years analyzing real estate market conditions in many place around the world; including Arizona, Australia, California, Caribbean, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, Mexico, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, New Zealand, Oklahoma, and Texas to name a few. 

More recently, Dr. Stone has led Boxer Resorts during the company's entry into the hospitality space.  During his time at Boxer, the company has doubled its hospitality portfolio and ventured into self-management of two properties.  The company has experienced growth of over 250 employees during this time and successfully renovated and converted brands in the hotel arena.  Directing the hotel management teams, marketing, sales, and social media efforts, while delivering asset management for branded resorts and hotels has kept Dr. Stone actively involved at all levels of the hospitality industry. 

 

Dr. Stone has been involved with a number of consulting projects including market studies, appraisals, economic impact assessments and hotel brand repositioning for a variety of hotels.  In 2011, Jeremy began his own consulting business as PKF prepared to close its Dallas office location.  In addition to his continuing consulting services, he has worked with the United States Armed Forces, National Park Service, municipalities and developers alike on a wide range of product types including lodging, golf courses, resorts, recreational facilities, high-end destination developments, conference centers, luxury hotels, select service hotels, and full-scale master planned communities including residential, commercial, retail, resort, marina, hospitality and entertainment components.

 

Dr. Stone earned his PhD in Urban and Regional Science at Texas A&M University in 2002.  He also holds a Master of Science in Land Development, a Bachelor of Environmental Design, and a Certificate in Historic Preservation from Texas A&M.  He is published in an international real estate journal and he has written a monthly column for the Hotel Association of North Texas.  He has been quoted in articles published in the Dallas Morning News and other North Texas publications.  He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, an associate member in the Appraisal Institute and a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society.



Jeremy grew up in the Texas Panhandle.  In his free time, he is involved with his church, enjoys spending time with his wife and three children and, on rare occasions, escaping to the golf course.
