Stone Hospitality & Real Estate (Stone HRE) is an independent hospitality asset management and real estate advisory firm serving owners, investors, developers, financial institutions, and public-sector organizations.

Dr. Jeremy Stone
Founder | Hospitality & Real Estate Asset Management Advisor
Dr. Jeremy Stone brings more than 25 years of professional experience across hospitality operations, real estate investment, development, asset management, and consulting.
His career began in golf course management, operations, design, and development consulting, including construction and project management. This operational foundation evolved into broader experience with hotels, resorts, destination developments, and complex commercial real estate investments.
Dr. Stone subsequently served in university teaching positions, including two years at the University of Auckland Business School in New Zealand, where he taught undergraduate and graduate courses related to real estate, development, investment, and management.
In 2007, he joined PKF Consulting in Dallas, advising hospitality and real estate clients on market feasibility, economic impact, financial analysis, valuation-related assignments, and development strategy.
He founded his independent consulting practice in 2011, expanding his work with hotel owners, developers, investors, municipalities, and institutional clients.
His subsequent leadership experience includes directing hospitality operations and asset management activities for Boxer Resorts, including portfolio growth, hotel management operations, property renovations, brand conversions, and performance improvement initiatives.
More recently, his asset management experience has included owner-side assignments involving full-service, select-service, and extended-stay hotels, as well as hospitality assets undergoing development and repositioning.
Throughout his career, Dr. Stone has worked across the intersection of hospitality operations and real estate investment—providing a practical understanding of the factors that influence property performance and ownership returns.
Experience Across Hospitality & Real Estate
Dr. Stone's professional experience includes assignments involving luxury and full-service hotels, select-service and extended-stay properties, resorts, golf courses, recreational facilities, conference centers, destination developments, and mixed-use master-planned communities.
His consulting and advisory work has served private-sector owners and developers as well as public institutions and government organizations, including assignments involving the United States Armed Forces and National Park Service.
His work has extended across numerous U.S. markets and international locations, including Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, and the Caribbean.
This breadth of experience provides Stone HRE with a multidisciplinary perspective on operating assets, development opportunities, investment feasibility, and long-term property strategy.
Education & Professional Background
Dr. Stone earned his Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Science from Texas A&M University in 2002.
He also holds a Master of Science in Land Development, a Bachelor of Environmental Design, and a Certificate in Historic Preservation from Texas A&M University.
His professional and academic work has included research, university instruction, industry commentary, and publications relating to real estate investment, development, and hospitality.
He has been published in an international real estate journal, contributed a recurring column to the Hotel Association of North Texas, and provided industry perspectives to regional media outlets.
His professional background also includes involvement with organizations such as the Urban Land Institute, Appraisal Institute, and Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society.
